A heaving crowd of moshers pulsed on Good Friday in anticipation of this much-hyped band.
The night went without a hitch. Hits from their sophomore outing Antidotes, such as Red Socks Pugie and Balloons, were executed with acute precision and encore of fan-favourite Two Steps Twice prompted sparks of chemistry between them and their audience.
But though Foals have built an impressive, if minimal, musical oeuvre paralleled by an unpredictable live presence, their workload appears to be killing them.
For seasoned Foals gig attendees, the night’s effort was rather run-of-the-mill.
For one of the hardest working bands in Britain, their vivacity appears to be turning into more of a curse than a gift.
