In response to the letter from Patricia Ginman “Keep Sussex Skating” (The Argus, April 6).

As someone who remembers the ice-rink at the bottom of West Street and Brighton Tigers ice hockey team and then the ice rink which replaced it for a short time – until it started to sink! – I couldn’t agree more with her article.

For the last three years, we have been taking our grandchildren to Guildford to their excellent complex, which includes a large ice-rink, swimming pool with fun area and diving pool, along with a bowling, all under the same roof.

Come on, Brighton. We are supposed to be a city now, and we have a lot of young people living here.
