A man will go on trial today charged with stabbing his wife to death.
Cassandra Hasanovic, 24, was declared dead at hospital after police were called to a property in Normanton Avenue, Bognor, on July 29 last year.
Her husband, Serbian-born Hajrudin Hasanovic, 33, of Prescott Close, Guston, near Dover, Kent, was charged with her murder the next day.
The case was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) as Mrs Hasanovic was visited by officers earlier on the day she died.
Hasanovic, who is in custody, is on trial at Lewes Crown Court.
The hearing is expected to last three weeks.
