A bus driver is en-route to self-publishing success after completing his first book and getting a major national retailer to sell it.

Robin Oram, a driver for Brighton and Hove Bus Company, has self-published his dark fantasy called Solomon's Angel.

The book, which has been through six drafts over the past two years, is based on the premise that all religious beliefs are real.

Robin, 41, from Hanover, Brighton, said: “It is set in a world that is superficially exactly the same as our own but everything that everyone has ever believed about religion is true.

“All the gods and demons and monsters exist and cause chaos.”

Not content with writing and publishing the book, Robin has also managed to get it stocked at 20 Waterstone's stores across the country.

The book should be in the stores by early May but is already available to buy online at Amazon.
