Homeowners are being left in a muddle over when to put out their recycling after collectors repeatedly failed to turn up on the right day.
Residents in Rushlake Road in Coldean, Brighton, say that since their collection day was swapped from Friday to Thursday as part of Cityclean’s timetable changes in February they have no idea what day their boxes are going to be collected.
Diana Young, who lives in the road, said: “They didn’t turn up again on Thursday and I end up having to ring the council almost every week to find out what is going on.
“It is annoying because we just don’t know when they are going to come anymore. We end up taking the boxes in every night and having to put them back out again the next day.
“It’s not fair because they are supposed to be providing a service which we are paying for and we are just not getting it.”
A spokeswoman from Brighton and Hove City Council said: “We're very sorry that the recycling hasn't been collected yet and are investigating why this has happened.”
