Leisure officials are astonished they cannot rent out a seafront kiosk in a prime position.
Worthing councillor Paul Yallop said 50 people had inquired about the kiosk, immediately to the east of Worthing Pier.
Despite the interest, the kiosk, which formerly sold seaside souvenirs, remained unlet.
Coun Yallop, cabinet member for resources, said he was amazed it was still empty given the level of interest.
