I fully support Brighton and Hove Older People’s Council on garden waste(Letters, April 7).
Brighton and Hove City Council obviously has no idea of the work in making good compost.
Cabbage stalks, hedge trimmings etc cannot be dumped into a bin and come out six months later as usable compost.
Why doesn’t the council compost the waste it receives and sell it to the public?
If other councils can collect waste, why is it beyond the ability of our city council to do so?
