A blaze has broken out in prized holiday homes on Bexhill seafront.

A total of six beach huts, which cost around £5000 each, went up in flames in the early hours of this morning.

Crews from East Sussex Fire and Rescue attended the scene at 5:03am and the fire was brought under control at around 7am.

A spokesman from the fire service said: "Despite the heavy rain the fire still could have spread quite quickly if it started inside one of the huts".
