Watch the firefighters rescue the cat above
Firefighters who rescued a cat from a car engine will receive an award.
The crew took the engine apart to free Napoleon after he fell two storeys from a window and hid under the Peugeot 206's bonnet, in Worthing on March 4.
The car was jacked up and the front wheels and battery removed to free him.
Worthing White Watch will receive a Hero to Animals Award and a letter of appreciation from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta), Europe.
Robbie LeBlanc, Peta's director, said: “The determination and compassion that the Worthing White Watch showed in freeing this cat makes them community role models.
“Napoleon may have used up one of his nine lives, but thanks to this fire crew, he is enjoying his freedom once again - although he may be more careful when sitting on windowsills in the future.”
