A young woman has been seriously injured after falling over some railings.

The 24-year-old is believed to have fallen over railings on Kings Road in Brighton onto the lower promenade near the Arc night club.

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning and the woman is being treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 0845 6070999, quoting serial 7 of April 5.
