Armed police arrested a man suspected of pointing a toy gun at a baby in the street.
A woman walking her child in a pram in Coleridge Street, Hove, called police to say a man in his 50s had pointed a gun at the child and said: “Pow, pow.”
Police launched a search with armed officers.
They found a man at a bus stop near the junction of Westbourne Street and Portland Road. A toy gun was seized.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm in a public place.
