As the new landlord of the Juggler pub in Western Road, Hove, myself and local historian Mike Robins are researching the history of this wonderful old public house.
The building was erected in 1898 and was formally The Western Hotel – as the beautiful gold and blue mosaic which can still be seen on the outside of the pub displays.
We are particularly interested in interior photographs showing the carved staircase, the “gin palace” wooden panel with clock which was behind the bar, the signage or anything else for that matter.
Unfortunately, all this was sadly removed and is untraceable. If you have any information or pictures, please contact Mike Robins or Richard Grills at jugmusicbar@gmail.com.
