Football is a funny old game, a game of two halves and tonight showed both these with a thrilling encounter at the Withdean.
The first half saw Albion start okay and for the first 15 minutes or so they looked comfortable but couldn't really muster a decent shot on goal. After this spell Leicester dominated; the two wingers were causing lots of problems making good runs and putting in good crosses.
It was inevitable that they would score as they applied more pressure, then on the 35 minute a deflected Thomson clearance landed with Fryatt who slotted past Sullivan.
Seven minutes later they doubled their lead, with the wingers combining well it ended up with Fryatt who scored to make it 2-0. Albion were booed off and the fans were deflated.
'How many will they score?' people thought. Some left, but the second half was one of the best halves I have ever seen watching Brighton.
A double substitution - off went Savage and McLeod and on came Thornton and Cox - gave us an attacking force and allowed us to run at them with the ball and force them back into their own half - please stick with this team and formation on Saturday!
Then debutante Bradley Johnson, on loan from Leeds for three months, stole the show. In the 60th minute he picked up the ball about 20 yards out and lashed a wicked shot into the net to make it 2-1.
Then with six minutes to go, Thornton, again playing well in midfield, passed the ball to Johnson who lashed another shot this time from 25 yards into the net: 2-2.
Albion now sensed they could win and deserved to. They kept on attacking Leicester, pushing them back. Then, with the clock ticking towards 90 minutes, Anyinsah broke down the right, crossed into the box and Hobbs slid into to clear but knocked it straight past his own keeper.
A remarkable comeback and I hope we take this confidence into Saturday against Millwall, after this result I feel this could be our turning point, with Murray and Forster coming back and Johnson behind them we could climb up the league.
