Three Henfield shops have won awards in the Market Towns SnapShop scheme run by Horsham District Council.

White Mischief, the bridal wear outlet, won a gold award for excellence. Jasmines Florists and World of Wines won silver.

Garry Mortimer-Cook, the Town Centres Manager for HDC, presented an award in Henfield to Chris and Amy Nevatt of Jasmines in Henfield. The others received their awards at an earlier council ceremony in Horsham.

Sixty shops in total were judged by mystery shoppers who visited premises in Henfield, Billingshurst, Storrington, Steyning, Southwater and Pulborough.

Ten shops were judged in Henfield. The overall platinum award went to Darwin’s Pet Shop, Pulborough.

Said Garry: “Together with Community Partnerships we were delighted with the results. Mystery shoppers are a great way to give traders an incentive to improve business performance.”

Chris Nevatt of Jasmines in Henfield said: “Amy and I were delighted to receive our award and the report we received from the mystery shopper was glowing. It gave us a fantastic boost and is great recognition for the hard work and long hours we put in.”
