A pedestrian remains in hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car in the early hours of the morning.
The 36-year-old man was taken to hospital after he being hit by a Seat SUV in Pinders Road, Hastings on Sunday morning.
A 32-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and have released an image of the car which they want to recover.
A spokesman for the force said the man was hit by Seat Ateca Xperience car at around 1.20am on December 1.
The force said:” In particular, officers want to locate and recover the vehicle, and have released images of the vehicle to help with the investigation.
“Anyone who witnessed what happened or with relevant information such as CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage in the area is asked to come forward, as well as anyone who saw the Seat Ateca in the area or knows the vehicle’s current whereabouts.”
