Several pets in Sussex are looking for their forever homes, including at the Sussex North & Brighton branch of the RSPCA.

Whether you want to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig, there is plenty of choice.

A few animals from the branch are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

To help the Sussex North & Brighton branch carry on their work you can donate to them at the website here.

Louie

Gender - Male

Age - Six years old

Breed - Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Colour - Brindle

If you want to adopt Louie you can view their full profile here.

Louie was very "anxious and untrusting" of new people when he first arrived at the centre but has improved after several months of care and rehabilitation.

He is described as an "intelligent" and "determined" dog who loves to play and roll around in long grass.

Louie is very sensitive as doesn’t like loud noises, wind or heavy rain, will flinch at sudden movements and be worried by new situations.

He accepts handling well from the people he trusts but takes a while to warm up to new people.

Due to his circumstances, he'll need to be the only pet in a new home and have it be an adult-only space.

Ralph

Age - Three years old

Breed - Cane Corso

Colour - Cream Brindle

If you want to adopt Ralph you can view their full profile here.

When Ralph arrived in the care of the RSPCA he was very anxious and required some quite in-depth behaviour training.

He also had a severe eye condition that impacted his vision and required an operation to fix this.

Whilst there is still a long way to go with Ralph he has improved significantly and becomes quite cuddly once he gets to trust a person.

He loves his toys, travels well in a car and mostly walks well on the lead but can be very strong at times.

Ralph is very wary of strangers and needs gentle, slow introductions when meeting new people.

Ideally, he would be the only pet in a new home which will also need to be adult-only.

Bear

Gender - Male

Age - Two years old

Breed - Lionhead

Colour - Brown

If you want to adopt Bear you can view their full profile here.

Bear is described as a "handsome" rabbit who will need to be kept indoors due to his long coat, which will get matted if it gets wet or muddy.

His new owners will need to keep on top of his grooming and ensure his facial hairs are regularly trimmed, as it does grow around his eyes quickly.

The RSPCA adds: "In his next home, Bear is looking for a neutered & vaccinated female rabbit to keep him company."

Spencer

Gender - Male

Age - One year old

Breed - Whippet crossbreed

Colour - Brindle

If you want to adopt Spencer you can view their full profile here.

Spencer came into the care of the RSPCA as an unclaimed stray and is now looking to find a place of his own.

He is described as a "lively boy" who will need training and an active family who can keep up with him.

Spencer can be a little vocal and over-enthusiastic when he sees other dogs out on walks, so a new owner will need to be prepared to manage this.

Ideally, he would go to an adult-only home which has a secure garden.

Ashley is described as a "charismatic" parrot who has settled in well at the RSPCA.

He enjoys regularly coming out of his cage and being hand-fed treats like almonds.

"He will preferably have someone around most of the day, with plenty of opportunities to come out of his cage."
