Princess Anne is set to visit Sussex this week as part of a royal visit.

The Princess Royal is scheduled to visit three locations across the county as part of engagements celebrating businesses and heritage sites across West Sussex.

This is the latest Royal visit to Sussex after Queen Camilla came earlier this year.

During her visit, scheduled for December 5, Princess Anne will visit Amberley Museum in the South Downs village to see the heritage centre’s Bagging Shed Project.

The project aims to restore and upgrade a historic bagging shed in the museum which is part of the mill and lime kilns.

The Princess Royal will also visit the Rolls Royce factory near Goodwood for the car maker’s 120th anniversary.

She is also planning to go to Shoreham to visit the Coastguard station in Old Fort Road. Princess Anne is the Royal Patron of the National Coastguard Institution.

The royal visit is the second to take place this year after Queen Camilla visited the Charleston festival in Firle in May.

Queen Camilla also visited the Church of Saint Mary in Rye and Lamb House in the East Sussex border town.

In 2020 Princess Anne visited St Michael's Church in Newhaven during the Covid-19 pandemic for its 900th anniversary. She was believed to be the first Royal to visit the church since it was built by the Normans.

The Princess Royal landed in her helicopter and also visited the Newhaven coastguard before heading to Shoreham Airport to visit a sword company.

And she previously met patients and staff at the Sussex Eye Hospital in 2012 as part of its 180th anniversary. She also opened Brighton Dome in 2002 after a restoration project.
