West Sussex County Council is seeking feedback on transport issues from Horsham residents and road users.

The public engagement period aims to gather views on possible improvements for two roads and one junction in the town.

The council is considering changes to Rusper Road, the A281 Guildford Road, and the B2237 North Parade/Wimblehurst Road junction.

These routes are 'critical' for accessing Horsham town centre.

Potential improvements include segregated cycle tracks, enhanced pedestrian crossings, bus priority measures at signal-controlled junctions, and junction redesigns.

These improvements aim to ease traffic flow, increase safety, and promote walking, cycling, and use of public transport.

Councillor Joy Dennis, cabinet member for highways and transport, said: "The areas we’ve identified are all key routes to schools, jobs, and local services.

"Our vision is to create a safer, greener, and more connected transport network that supports our growing communities.

"Your input will be instrumental in ensuring the designs meet the needs of residents, businesses, and all road users."

The proposed changes are at an 'early stage of development' and delivery will depend upon securing funding.

Residents and road users can learn more about the proposals, comment on an interactive map, and share feedback through an online survey at yourvoice.westsussex.gov.uk/horsham-transport.

The survey closes at 11.55pm on January 14.
