A 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being knocked off his bike by an e-scooter.
The young cyclist was knocked off his bike in a collision in Shadwells Road in Lancing in August.
Sussex Police said they are appealing for witnesses and have identified a man they wish to speak to in relation to the crash.
A spokesman for the force said the boy, from Lancing, was injured at around 3.30pm on Saturday, August 17 and was taken to Worthing Hospital.
The force said: "Officers would like to thank the public for their help in finding the man who they believed could assist with their enquiries. He has now been identified, following an appeal.
"An investigation is ongoing.
"Anyone with information, including witnesses or anyone with relevant footage, is asked to report it.
"Information can be reported to Sussex Police online or on 101, quoting collision reference 1482151."
