Nothing is more Christmassy than a trip to the panto and there will be plenty for people around Sussex to attend in 2024.
People will be able to enjoy takes on old classics such as Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Aladdin.
Here are some of the major pantos that will be in production around Sussex for the 2024 festive period.

Sleeping Beauty in Brighton
Brighton Family Panto will be putting on a production of Sleeping Beauty at the DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole.
It will run from Thursday, December 19 until Monday, December 30.
The Brighton Family Panto website adds: "This timeless fairytale tells the story of Princess Aurora, who, on the day of her christening, is cursed by the wicked fairy to prick her finger on a spindle and fall into a deep sleep.
"Only true love's kiss can break the spell, but will the Prince arrive in time to awaken our slumbering princess?"
Aladdin in Eastbourne
A production of Aladdin will be running at the Eastbourne Hippodrome between December 13, 2024 and January 3, 2025.
The Hippodrome website adds: "We’ll take you on a magical journey of adventure in our laugh-a-minute extravaganza with stunning sets, musical hits, fabulous costumes, special effects and of course a magic carpet!
"Back by popular demand are Luke Roberts and Paul Leno in true hippodrome style with heaps of panto merriment and laughter alongside everything you have come to love and expect from our pantos."
Jack and the Beanstalk in Horsham
The Capitol in Horsham will be running a production of Jack and the Beanstalk from November 30, 2024, until January 5, 2025.
John Partridge will star as Fleshcreep and also makes his debut as Director, while Chrissie Cartwright joins as Choreographer/Assistant Director.
Its website adds: "Let our Capitol Team whisk you away to a world of giants, fairies, magic beans and high-flying adventure in this meticulously crafted production!"
Robin Hood: The Pantomime in Worthing
Worthing's Pavilion Theatre will be doing a panto version of Robin Hood between December 5, 2024 and January 5, 2025.
Nigel Clarke will star as the titular character, with Janine Pardo as Marian, Paul Giddings as Dame Delia, Darryl Carrington as Will Scarlett, Katie Pritchard as Alana and Darren Clewlow-Smith as the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Its website adds: "Don’t miss this timeless tale of Robin Hood as it springs to life in a spectacular pantomime in the heart of Worthing.
"Prepare to journey deep into the enchanted Sherwood Forest for an epic adventure filled with thrills, laughter, captivating songs, and the timeless magic of panto!"
Snow White in Eastbourne
Devonshire Park Theatre will be putting on a production of Snow White between December 6, 2024 and January 12, 2025.
Cast members will include Martyn Knight, Carli Norris, Georgie Hales and Ben Tyler.
The Devonshire Park Theatre website adds: "Nothing is more dangerous than a paranoid Wicked Queen! Even our favourite Dame's vanishing cream can't make her jealousy disappear. Can the Handsome Prince and a Henchman with a conscience ensure a happy ending? Bring on 'The Magnificent Seven'!!"

Jack and the Beanstalk in Crawley
The Hawth in Crawley will be hosting a production of Jack and the Beanstalk from December 13, 2024, until January 5, 2025.
Steve McFadden, who is known for playing Phil Mitchell on EastEnders, will feature among the cast as the villain Fleshcreep.
Other cast members include Michael J Batchelor, Joey Wilby, Erin Armstrong, Joe Gash and Annell Odartey.
It will be written by Paul Hendy and produced by Evolution Productions, who were behind the Sleeping Beauty production in 2023.
