Young lifesaver trainees have had the opportunity to visit a lifeboat station to meet some of the crew.
Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club's (BSLC) Sandhopper section visited Shoreham Lifeboat station along with their parent and carers.
Sandhoppers begin their ocean safety training with the club from aged 5 years to 7.
The children had the opportunity to learn all about the equipment the RNLI use and to meet some of the crew.

David Samuel, chairman of BSLSC, said: "It is vital that we give our lifesavers of tomorrow the early knowledge and confidence to make the right decisions if they suspect someone is in trouble.
“Our Sandhoppers are aware of the role of a beach lifeguard but to see the pinnacle of lifesaving through the RNLI is an education in itself."
