A winter fair has been forced to close due to weather conditions caused by Storm Bert.
The Winter Fair at the South of England Showground in Ardingly will be closed today due to high winds.
A spokeswoman from the Society said: "Due to the overnight weather conditions and the forecast for this to worsen throughout the day, in the interest of safety, the decision has been taken not to open the Winter Fair today.
“We understand how disappointing this is, but the safety of everyone on site is our absolute priority. Ticketholders for today will be refunded."
The Winter Fair had returned to the South of England Showground in Ardingly for another year.
It was open yesterday from 9am till 5pm and was due to be open today from 9am till 4pm.
This all comes after a yellow weather warning for wind was issued for most of East and West Sussex was given on Friday due to “dangerous coastal conditions and disruption” with a “small chance” that the weather could cause a danger to life and injuries.
A number of events have been cancelled this weekend due to the bad weather, including Christmas light switch ons in Chichester and Littlehampton.
