Lindfield: Man killed in crash on Ardingly Road (Image: Sussex News and Pictures)
A man was killed in a crash yesterday.
The 65-year-old was driving alone along Ardingly Road, Lindfield at around 6.35am on Friday when he crashed.
Police sadly confirmed he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
A closure was put in place from Stonecross Lane to Francis Road in both directions.
Sussex Police and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were in attendance.
An investigation is ongoing to understand the full circumstances of the incident.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any relevant dashcam footage, is asked to report online or via 101, quoting Op Mayford.”
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was contacted for a statement.
