Arun District Council will lift parking charges in Littlehampton and Bognor on two Saturdays to encourage people to shop local and with small businesses this festive season.
On November 30, Bognor’s Christmas lights will be switched on and parking will be free at the Fitzleet multi-storey car park.

Meanwhile, on December 7, the council will be marking “small business Saturday”, a national event which “supports, inspires and promotes small businesses”, by making parking free at Hothamton car park in Bognor and St Martins car park in Littlehampton.
Councillor Sue Wallsgrove, chairwoman of the environment committee at Arun District Council, said: “Free parking is our way of giving back to the community and boosting the festive spirit, so we hope everyone will take advantage of this opportunity and support our fantastic local traders in the run-up to Christmas.”
