A range of Christmas events have been announced at a 13th-century priory.
Michelham Priory House and Gardens near Hailsham will be hosting a fair and theatre shows for the festive season in its historical setting.
On November 30, the priory will be taken over by a Christmas fair with “an array of stalls offering the finest Sussex produce”. Visitors will also be treated to Christmas and wartime songs by The Land Girls and medleys from The Seaside Singers.
On December 8, tickets can be purchased for one-off productions of Hans Christian Anderson’s The Snow Queen, at 2.30pm, and Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, at 5pm, both performed by This is My Theatre.
On December 14 and 15, a storyteller will share the eerie ghost stories of M. R. James in the prior chamber at 12pm and 2pm.
