Residents have been invited to celebrate Christmas at two special services next month.

The Salvation Army in Leybourne Road, Bevendean, Brighton, will host a toy service on December 1 at 10.15am and a Christmas tree service on December 8, also at 10.15am.

Drew Tinsley, Salvation Army leader, said all are welcome to attend the Christmas tree event.

“I’d like people coming to bring a Christmas tree to decorate or make one and decorate it during the service. A prize will be given to the best one,” he said.

“We really hope you will join us and help us celebrate Christmas.”

Those thinking of attending the toy service have been asked to bring a present for underprivileged children who may have nothing to open on Christmas Day.
