A gym is collecting toys for Christmas to give to a children’s charity.
Underground Gym is collecting toys at its site in Camden Street, Portslade, in November and December in aid of charity.
The toys will be collected ahead of Christmas and will be donated to children’s charity Rockinghorse who deliver life-saving equipment to the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton.
Starting on Friday, November 15, anyone wishing to donate toys can do by handing them in at the Camden Street site.
A spokeswoman for the gym said it was “focusing on making a difference for children in need” and wanted to “bring a smile to the faces of children and their families during the festive season.”
Toys will be collected throughout November up until December 13 when they will be donated to Rockinghorse.
Donation ideas include board games, children’s books and teddy bears or dolls.
The toy drive is open to gym members and non-members.
Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton and raises money for life-saving equipment to help sick babies, children and young people from across Sussex.
It also supports the Trevor Mann Baby unit as well as baby and paediatric wards in Haywards Heath and across the county.
