Further details have been released ahead of the city’s Christmas fair.

Brighton’s Winter Fayre is due to take place in St Peter’s Square over three four-day weekends from December 5 until December 22.

Business owners Anne-Marie Chebib from Select Security, Becky Stevens from Hybred Events and Lisa Norman from Lout Promotions, who put the fair together, have promised Brighton “the winter extravaganza it truly deserves”.

More features of the festive event have been announced, including craft workshops, an “immersive Christmas grotto experience” and events for children.

Fair-goers can experience "Christmas with the Clauses" where they will get to meet Mr and Mrs Claus, hear stories from them and receive a “special gift”.

A range of activities for children will be taking place, including “Tomfoolery Christmas Parties”,  Bollywood dance classes and Swiftogedden, an evening of Taylor Swift music.

Craft-lovers can learn how to make their own slipware mugs with The Great Pottery Showdown star Cadi Froehlich and Winter Solstice paper collages and practise thread-based crafts such as crochet and embroidery.

A “cycle train” will run between the city’s Christmas events, organised by Brighton and Hove City Council. It will include “a fun, guided group ride with music, encouraging safe and festive travel between key community locations, and promoting cycling as a sustainable travel option”.

The fair will be an official fundraising collection point for the Santa Bus, organised by Brighton and Hove Buses in partnership with The Argus, which supports 12 charities.

The event is in collaboration with Orange Beach Bars, a Brighton bar-supplying business, which will be featuring local suppliers and brands including beer from Harvey’s Brewery in Lewes, ale from Long Man Brewery in Litlington, craft brews from Brighton’s own UnBarred Brewery and mulled cider from Trenchmore Farm in Horsham.
