Brighton and Hove has been named the most festive place in England.
A study found that the city was ranked the best place for Christmas adventures, taking in the festive season as well as exploring the outdoors.
The study found that Brighton was the fourth most festive place in the UK but the most festive in England, nudging out Nottingham and Manchester for the accolade.
The GoOutdoors study applauded Brighton for the number of nearby hiking trails in the South Downs as well as a high number of restaurants and bars per 1,000 people in the city.
The study also took into account the affordability of the city’s ice rink in Pavilion Gardens – which was one of the least expensive in the country.
Inverness was named the most festive region in the country according to the survey.
