Protesters took over a city centre shopping centre with a flash mob held against the conflict in the Middle East.

Demonstrators covered themselves in white sheets and lay on the floor of Brighton's Churchill Square in a pro-Palestinian show of support.

Flags and banners were draped from the railings in the shopping centre's central circle as protesters shouted calling for a ceasefire.

The demonstration comes as the latest in a string of pro-Palestinian protests in the city in recent months.

Protesters also held Lebanese flags in a show of support for the Middle Eastern country after it was also attacked by Israel last month.

Protesters had previously targeted Churchill Square in January. Several members of Artist Action Brighton dressed as International Court judges.

The continued conflict comes more than 400 days since the October 7 attacks on Israel by Hamas.
