A festival has taken the city by storm with more day still to come.

Mutations kicked off with a bang on Tuesday and will run until Saturday.

The festival features performances from a diverse range of exciting, established and upcoming artists from around the world.

Tuesday night saw the exciting upcoming Dublin garage punk band Sprints take to the stage at Chalk in Brighton and make it their own. Lead-singer and guitarist Karla Chubb stole the show with her performance, blending passion and raw talent to send the crowd into a state of euphoria and close the first night out in style.

The festival is taking place across nine venues in Brighton - Chalk, Patterns, Revenge, Dust, Alphabet, The Prince Albert, Green Door Store, The Hope and Ruin and The Folklore Rooms.

On Thursday night Hip-Hop and rap took centre stage at Chalk.

Coming out of the shadows for a grand performance, infamous garage MC Novelist took the spotlight and proved exactly why he is regarded as one of the leading rap lyricists of his generation.

His set was followed by 2024 Brit Award winner Casisdead, whose cool, calm and ominous demeanour closed the night in style.

Among the other acts are WARMDUSCHER, Font, The Lounge Society, KNEECAP, BC Camplight and many more.
