It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at M&S and the company's new range of festive goodies had us at The Argus feeling very festive.
Not only is the new range of stocking fillers utterly delicious but the tins make the most stunning keepsakes.
I tried some of this year's festive offerings out...
First up was Santa’s workshop musical light-up tin (£10) which has moving parts. As you munch on the all-butter chocolate chip cookie stars contained within and wind up the grotto, you can watch an elf busy at work – hammering away at his latest project.
Next was the Christmas is coming shortbread projector tin (£10) which, when you twist the tin, plays a twinkling tune. For full impact, dim the lights to view Father Christmas and his reindeer driven sleigh projected onto the walls. The shortbread is crumbly and melts in the mouth with a selection of plain and chocolate chip.
The push along estate car with jellies (£5) is particularly adorable and once the chewy sweets within are consumed, would make for a lovely decoration for the mantle piece. Stick on Chris Rea’s Driving Home for Christmas to really get into the festive mood.
For me the item which really delivered the wow factory was the magical snowing forest (£15). You cannot help but be delighted as snow flutters around the box at the flick of a switch. Open the little drawer beneath to savour oozing truffles – the blonde ganache truffles were a personal favourite.
All items were purchased at the M&S on Western Road in Brighton.
