Former MP Norman Baker is set to re-release his book looking at the death of a British weapons inspector.
The Strange Death of David Kelly is about the former government weapons inspector whose death amid the invasion of Iraq led to the resignation of the BBC’s director general.
The new version of the book, to be released later this month, includes new evidence and theories into what happened to Dr Kelly.
Mr Baker served as MP for Lewes for nearly two decades, gaining the seat in 1997 when Labour swept to power under Tony Blair.
He lost it to Conservative Maria Caulfield in 2015 having served as transport minister in the controversial coalition government.
In his book, Mr Baker argues that Dr Kelly’s death was not suicide and that this verdict was neither supported by the medical evidence nor the weapons inspector’s state of mind.
The Strange Death of David Kelly will be re-released on November 19.
