A trailblazing hairdressing salon is celebrating a big win for its trendsetting styles and use of eco- friendly products.
Argus readers have voted Waters Hairstylists in Upper North Street, Brighton, as their favourite - and the staff could not be more delighted.
Rose Pearce founded Waters Hairstylists in 2003 as one of the first organic eco hairdressers in Brighton.
Waters prides itself on being a cruelty-free and organic hair salon and for having a team that offers "cutting edge hairstyles in a warm, welcoming environment".
Rose said: “Whilst listening to our clients, we provide an excellent, quality service tailored to their cutting, colouring and styling needs.
"As proud champions of cruelty-free and sustainability, all of our products are vegan and naturally derived, which is kinder to the environment, but also more gentle on your hair and scalp.
"We are stockists of Davines, Organic Colour Systems and Danger Jones. did you know the bleach we use contains seaweed? So cool, right?
”Me and my team at Waters Hairstylists were delighted to be nominated for the Argus readers' favourite salon in Sussex, let alone to win it.
“Our success wouldn’t be happening without our amazing friends and clients.
”My plans for the future are to release vouchers for Black Friday, selling Christmas product bundles and carry on business as usual like the past 21 years of Waters Hairstylists.”
Argus editor Arron Hendy said: “We love to promote local independent businesses so we are particularly pleased to be handing Waters Hairstylists this year’s 'Your Favourite Hairdressers and Beauty Salons' award.
"The salon has been running for many years and is obviously very popular with Argus readers.
“We'd to formally congratulate Rose and her team on winning this coveted award.
“Thank you to everyone who participated. We had some great entries this year and competition was stiff.”
