A new weekend Comic Con event has been announced.

Comic Con is coming to the White Rock Theatre in Hastings next year.

The event, set to be held on June 14 and 15, is being brought to the town by The Guildhall Trust, who run Portsmouth Comic Con.

Joker Squad, a Star Wars cosplay charity, is set to attend the event and bring their "fantastic immersive experiences", as well as Everstromn Hobbies, who will be running a "paint and take" workshop.

More guests and activities are due to be announced.

A spokesman for the White Rock Theatre said: "The two day event will be packed full of activities and attractions for geeks and kids of all ages.

"Hastings will be welcoming some of the greatest writers and illustrators in the industry, alongside stars of the screen and the wonderful world of cosplay.”

"With traders, workshops, panels and games, there’s plenty to take in at Hastings Comic Con – the perfect fun and affordable day out."
