A food delivery company has analysed what items city residents are ordering to their front doors.
Research by Deliveroo has revealed that people in Brighton order more oat milk and dairy alternatives than any other city in the UK.
Meanwhile, the most popular food delivery in the country was the eight boneless wings from Wingstop, an up and coming international chain of restaurants founded in Texas in the US.
The next most popular orders were Caesar salads from atis in London and a whole cucumber from Waitrose.
Deliveroo vice president of regional growth Jeff Wemyss said: “We’re thrilled to unveil our eighth annual list of Deliveroo’s 100 most trending dishes and essentials.
“Most notably, we’ve spotted the highest number of grocery essentials making our Deliveroo 100 list, with a massive 600 per cent increase since 2022, as consumers put everything from cucumbers to white wine in their baskets.”
Residents in Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent ordered more Champagne than anywhere else in the UK, while people in London ordered more Perello olives and Torres truffle crisps than the rest of the UK put together.
