A 91-year-old woman has died following a crash.
Emergency services were called to South Bank in Chichester at around 9.40pm yesterday, November 1, after a red Toyota left the carriageway and crashed into the canal.
The driver of the car, a 91-year-old woman from Southampton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Officers are investigating, and have appealed to anyone with relevant dashcam footage, CCTV, mobile phone or doorbell footage in the area to come forward.
“Information can be reported to Sussex Police online or by emailing: collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk and quote Operation Wigston.”
