A lifeboat station is looking for volunteers to help launch its boats and keep the operation in ship shape.
Littlehampton RNLI put out a call for volunteer shore crew to help them maintain their boats and lifeboat station.
The prospective volunteers would also help to collect the lifeboats from the sea as they return to shore and would also help with work around the station.
Chris Stewart, who has volunteered as shore crew for over a year, said: “It's great being part of the Littlehampton RNLI shore crew, helping to provide a crucial service for Littlehampton and the wider community.
“I really enjoy the training and learning new skills that are put into practice when there is a shout. There is an amazing team here at Littlehampton, who are always very welcoming, supportive and helpful in fulfilling this rewarding role.”
Shore crew would be required to live close to the lifeboat station and get to the lifeboat station quickly if called into action.
Prospective volunteers can apply on the RNLI website.
