An M&S has become the third branch in the country to launch a rapid charging hub for electric cars.
The charging hub at M&S at Holmbush, Shoreham, brings together eight individual EV charging bays – two ultra-fast 150kW and six rapid 50kW - allowing visitors to charge while they shop.
M&S aims to become a net zero business by 2040. Michael Spencer, store manager at M&S Holmbush, said: “It’s fantastic to be one of the first M&S stores in the UK to offer a bp pulse charging hub.
"We’ve seen more and more of our customers driving electric cars so now we’ll be able to make shopping that bit easier by providing a convenient charging spot while customers stock up on those all-important M&S essentials. We’re so excited for customers to start using it.”
Sacha Berendji, director of operations at M&S, said: “The new Shoreham hub includes ultra-fast charge points, making it quick and convenient for customers to charge while they shop.”
