Brighton is beginning to get in the Christmas spirit as the city’s ever-popular ice rink makes its return.

The ice rink in front of the Royal Pavilion has proved a firm festive favourite in recent years, welcoming visitors since 2010 for twilight skating in front of one of the city biggest landmarks.

Now, the rink is making its return once again as it opens today ahead of the busy Christmas period.

Shella Parkin, of organisers Laine Ltd, said the rink would be keeping conscious of the climate crisis, running the attraction purely on renewable energy.

She added: “We strongly believe that in a time of climate crisis, Christmas rinks like ours must choose renewable energy to meet their power needs.

“Having fun with your loved ones on the ice should not come at a cost to the environment.”

The Royal Pavilion Ice Rink opens from today, October 26, until January 5, 2025.

Tickets for the rink cost £11 for adults and £9 for under-12s.
