A pub will close its doors for the final time this weekend after the building was sold by its owners.

The BRZN Arms opened as a month-long pop up in 2021 but stuck about for three years to become a much-loved bar in Beaconsfield Road, Brighton.

But, after the owners of the building chose to sell up, the bar announced that it would be closing for the final time to focus on brewing beer.

The brewery said on social media that it aims to open up a new site in the near future after a short hiatus.

Sharing the news on social media, a spokesman for the brewery said: “While it is sad we will be closing the doors at the end of October - bear in mind we were only ever supposed to be a month-long pop-up - we’ve had three incredible years here.

“We’ve found a wonderful and welcoming community of tremendous people and businesses and have had the most fun you can have brewing beer - we love you all. Sincerely, thank you.”

BRZN Beer started in 2019 by using other breweries' equipment before moving into a shipping container in Brighton in 2020.

The brewery later moved to its Beaconsfield Road site in 2021 serving beer and pop-up food on weekends.

The BRZN Arms will close for the final time today, however the brewery said it would be opening a new site “at some point in the future”.
