A man has been charged after allegedly "acting erratically" with a knife in a seaside town.
Officers were called to a report of a man with a knife in Kingsland Close, Shoreham, around 11.25pm on October 18.
Sussex Police arrived and detained David Chiswell, 36, of Kingsland Close, who was taken to hospital.
When he was discharged the following day, he was arrested and later charged with affray and possession of a knife in a public place.
He appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on October 21 and was remanded in prison.
He is due to appear before a court to be fixed on November 8.
