A window shattered after a projectile was launched at a travelling bus.
A “bullet-sized” projectile was shot at a Brighton and Hove bus as it travelled past Coldean Lane bus stop, just after 6pm on October 15.
It immediately shattered the entire window and left a huge hole as passengers moved swiftly from the surrounding seats to escape the glass. A witness has alleged that the projectile was thrown by “children”.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Police were called to a report of a ball bearing being fired, by what was believed to be a BB gun, at a bus travelling from Brighton to Heathfield at approximately 6.30pm on 15 October.
“Damage was caused to the window of the vehicle as it passed Coldean Lane, but no passengers were injured.
“Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident is asked to report online or call 101 quoting serial 1091 of 15/10.”
