Firefighters tackled a house fire.
Four fire engines from Herstmonceux, Pevensey and Eastbourne attended the incident in Saxon Close, Hailsham, last night just after 9pm.
Members of the public were asked to avoid the area and residents told to keep windows and doors closed.

Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and one hosereel jet to extinguish the fire.
As of 10.12pm crews were damping down and turning over to ensure the fire was completely out.
There were no casualties reported.
