A petrol station has applied for permission to run 24 hours a day.
The Shell petrol station in Sompting Avenue, Worthing, is currently open from 6am until 11pm.
A noise assessment was carried out by Infinity Acoustics as part of the application, which found that the impact was “as low as possible” and are at the “lowest observed level”.

The closest house is 13 metres away from the petrol station, the assessment found.
If the application is approved, the business will be able to run forecourt services only 24 hours a day, which rules out car washing or valeting.
The application was submitted to Worthing Borough Council on Wednesday, October 16.
It is due to be decided on by December 11.
