Two teenagers were arrested after an incident in the city centre.

Two 14-year-old boys were stopped and search during a routine patrol in Bond Street, Brighton, at around 1pm on Wednesday, October 16. 

They were found with suspected stolen sweets from Carmella, North Laine, a humidifier from Flying Tiger, North Street, and a street sign from Snoopers Paradise, North Laine.

The goods were returned to the businesses and the boys were arrested on suspicion of low-level theft. 

Police took the teens home and they were de-arrested "to enable the offences to be dealt with slow-time".
