Several pets in Sussex are looking for their forever homes, including at the Sussex North & Brighton branch of the RSPCA.

Whether you want to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig, there is plenty of choice.

A few animals from the branch are listed below but more can be found on the centre's website.

To help the Sussex North & Brighton branch carry on their work you can donate to them at the website here.

Louie

Age - Six year old

Breed - Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Colour - Brindle

If you want to adopt Louie you can view their full profile here.

Louie was very anxious and untrusting of new people when he first arrived at the centre, but after several months of care and rehabilitation, he has turned a corner.

He is said to be a very intelligent, determined boy who knows what he wants and when he wants it.

Louie loves playing with toys, having a roll in the long grass and splashing about in a paddling pool.

He is very sensitive to loud noises, wind or heavy rain and will flinch at sudden movements.

The RSPCA adds: "Out and about Louie will ignore everything else that is going on (dogs and people) but does not like it if anyone invades his personal space."

Louie will need an experienced adult-only home with just one or two people as he wouldn't cope with a busy household.

Ninja

Age - 14 years old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - Ginger

If you want to adopt Ninja you can view their full profile here.

Ninja is described as a "handsome old boy" who loves a bit of a fuss and is looking to find his forever home.

He has a friendly nature and has been quite vocal in asking for attention.

The RSPCA adds: "As an older cat, he is a bit stiff in his walk and has a small hobble from an old injury. To help him out, the vet prescribed him some daily anti-inflammatories. He takes them very easily in his food, and this medication will continue to be supported by the shelter."

Ninja will need to be the only pet in a new home and would like a garden to potter about in.

He would be okay living with older, cat-savvy children who are happy to give him strokes but will also leave him be as needed.

Maya

Age - One year old

Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed

Colour - White and Tabby

If you want to adopt Maya you can view their full profile here.

Maya came into the care of the RSPCA via an inspector after she was surrendered by her owner.

She is said to be a "slightly shy" cat with a sweet personality.

The RSPCA adds: "It can take a few introductions for her to build her confidence with you, but once she gets to know you she loves some fuss and head strokes."

Maya will need to be the only pet in the home and one where there are no children.

Click and Clack

Age - One year old

Breed - Ferret

Colour - Polecat

If you want to adopt Click and Clack you can view their full profile here.

Click and Clack came into the care of the RSPCA after their owner could no longer look after them due to a change in circumstances.

They are said to be "sweet boys" who can be picked up but can be a bit nippy.

The RSPCA is looking for a specific home for the pair as they are only 400g and very small.

In their previous home, they got into a small hole in the wall and were lost for a number of days before emerging again, so distressing incidents like that need to be avoided.
