Several flood alerts have been issued for rivers and coastal areas.
The Environment Agency has issued the warnings due to heavy rain falling overnight.
The 11.45am tide at Climping seafront is predicted to be higher than normal because of the “unsettled weather”, causing small amounts of water to flood land and fields. Impacts are expected to continue until Monday, October 21.
People have been asked to avoid walking along the seafront or parking in Climping Street car park.
Flooding is also possible from Thorney Island to Bracklesham, near Chichester, due to a higher than normal tide at 11.30am.

A spokesman for the Environment Agency said: “For one hour either side of high water, the tide will flood Shore Road.
“At Bosham High Street, water will be near to or flood front door steps. Gardens or land of shore side properties around the Harbour could also be affected.
“If you have them, please install flood boards one hour before high tide. Avoid walking through flood water as it may contain hidden hazards and be deep in places.”
Flooding is also expected at:
- River Uck
- Tidal areas of Littlehampton Rope Walk
- Combe Haven
- Cuckmere River
- Upper River Stour
