Community centres can apply for a Southern Water grant to help keep people warm.
Arun District Council has shared that hubs in Sussex can request one of 30 grants worth £1,000 each for support with energy bills and running costs.
The programme has been running for three years and has already helped over 40 community venues, including social pantries, homeless drop-in spaces and arts centres.

Applications are open until October 31 at 5pm and can be made on the Southern Water website.
Application results for West Sussex centres will be shared on November 29, while East Sussex results will be announced on December 6.
A spokesman for Arun District Council said: “Community centres play a vital role in the lives of so many people across our region, especially during the winter, and Southern Water is delighted to be able to offer these grants to help support local centres, so they can then support their communities.”
