A new Indian restaurant has replaced a popular eatery that closed after seven years.
Bombay Velvet on York Road in Bognor opened its doors on October 9 and will serve South Indian cuisine to diners.
The owners said: “Welcome to Bombay Velvet, your go-to destination for authentic South Indian cuisine!
“At our restaurant, we pride ourselves on delivering the rich and diverse flavours of India straight to your doorstep.
“Whether you're craving the fiery spices of North India or the coconut-infused curries of the South, we offer a variety of dishes that cater to all tastes.”
Bombay Velvet offers a multitude of dishes which are selected by Chef Kamal, Angari Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken Wings and Tawa-Grilled King Prawns are all available as big plate dishes.
The restaurant opens in what was Mustards, a popular bar and restaurant that served a mix of European and British dishes.
Mustards closed last month after being in the heart of the town for over seven years.
In a statement posted to social media at the time, Mustards owner said: “I am eternally grateful for the support from every single person who has stepped into the restaurant over the last seven years, whether it be a once-in-a-lifetime visit, or once a month. Every single visit meant the world to us.
“...this may be the end of Mustards in York Road, but it is not the end of the brand, or the quality of restaurant for us."
Bombay Velvet will be open from 12pm to 10pm daily.
